Trip to Chandrahasini Temple and Mahanadi

I got this idea of writing about this trip suddenly as this Manas blowing Idea suddenly ran through my mind. I will explain the meaning of Manas Blowing in later part of this blog… till then keep guessing..

Parveen’s (HR Colleague) presence in the team is always realized by her mails, which she sends for an outing… Please don’t take otherwise as her presence is always known to her core team, which means she is very dedicated to work…

One day when everybody was dozing, suddenly came a mail invitation from Parveen to join for Chandrahasini Temple trip…. This mail had 2 effects one was Parveen’s presence was revealed and the other was excitement the team was feeling just by the thought of this trip… Let me clear here that 90% of the people only get excited by the thought but never implement that thought.

Anyways, the discussion was in air as to how the trip will be planned and who all will be going and what will be the timings and all. The most of the problems will be sorted out if you accompany DK Verma (He is project manager from Client Site). So the first task was to include DK and it was accomplished as Parveen convinced his wife Pallavi… Not to mention here that in this so called man dominated society, women are boss.
So DK’s presence here has taken away our tension of arranging vehicle, Let me clear here that he is not only good for arranging vehicles but if he joins you, definitely in the vicinity of Raigarh you don’t need a guide. He knows most of the places and apart from that he is a very adventurous kind, which always catches my eyes… (Please no dostana here).

So the trip’s blueprint was signed and list was finalized as who all were going. Based on that, DK has arranged a bus…. And it was decided to gather in guest house at morning 5:45 AM. Now this was a challenging target which we have committed.. Delivering a complex object in SAP will be easier by a consultant than sticking to such ambitious commitments. Harsh (Project manager from IBM) was the one who was laughing and was challenging us for waking up by this time… Now the challenges are something which a consultant really likes to take up… So we have decided to stick to this timing and to prove Harsh wrong…. We had a very nice farewell party the night before the trip, in which we all danced like crazy… here I would like to mention that every consultant has a similar kind of dancing steps and that is simple Physical training exercises which we use to do in our Primary standard. I guess no body really bothers about the music being played as their steps are similar whether it is Wanga boys or desi beat… I am sure; consultants can even dance on “News”

Anyways Harsh was insisting to stay there for dancing till late, as he might have the plan to make everybody sleep till late, but as we took up the challenge so I told Jai (PP softspoken guy and committing to deliver everything which client wants) to wake him up early in the morning…. I set the alarm for 5:00 AM and slept. The alarm rang at the right time without showing any mercy to me for my late night dancing energy loss. L I snoozed it and slept but like a faithful slave of a master it again rang after 10 minutes… this time I remembered about the challenge and woke up. I called up Jai and Parveen, they thanked me for waking them up, but I know how many abuses I might have got in background from them… Then I got a call from Rakesh (FI team member who is responsible for my salary, as I am doing only his work… I think most of the JSPL project is because of him only), I called up Manas (CO consultant, a very social and charming dude who just by talking will make u feel like u know him from years.) In between these calls I many a times went inside my bathroom to get ready but because of these call chain I was not able to… Finally I realized that giving calls and receiving it is making us all late. So I stopped attending the calls and got ready. By that time it was 6:00 AM.. . But getting Late was not our fault as the bus itself came half an hour late… So we were only an hour late which as per Indian standards is very punctual.

Prem (always smiling PP guy, I always thought that he don’t understand Hindi that’s why he laugh just to show his courtesy to hindi speaking people, but later I realized that he is a very charming guy who always keep smiling [he knows hindi wellJ]) was carrying all that eatable stuff which everybody was more concerned and interested than Prem joining us.

So finally our journey has started and we were on our way to Temple clicking many pics….. The pics were wonderful as it showed two things, first was how shaking was the bus and the second was how enthusiastic was everyone in the trip, even they were not able to stand in that shaking bus but they were trying hard to capture each and every moment.

We reached the temple and there we bought the strap of Mata Chandrahasini to tie up on our foreheads. Without declaring, it became the dress code and everybody was carrying it on their foreheads. We reached at the top and did the darshanam, As usual being the best speaker and influential too, Harsh has stolen the show and was telling a very good story about the activity of sticking up the coins in the temple. He told if anybody is ‘shraddhalu’ (I beg ur pardon as I dnt know the English word here) his coin will be get stick to the wall and others will be dropped. People never wanted this truth to be revealed about their “shraddha” they tried all permutation and combination to stick the coin there, and succeeded even. After all that efforts we went upstairs to see a fantastic view of Mahanadi and had clicked many photos there. We came down after that photo session and found that there was not a single coin sticked to the wall, people were running to find their “shradhha” but it was lost in some priest’s pocket.

Then we has gone to see a artificial cave and saw a good art work… we have clicked few photos there also and came out having handful of photos as if we went there only for having those pics… But I shud mention here that we had a continuous working photographer named Prem with us.

We came out and sat in the bus as we were going back, but DK suggested to have a jal krida (water sports) in the shore of mahanadi… It seems nobody was interested to go there before actually reaching the site. The river was fabulous as the water flowing was crystal clear and it was not even deep to get drowned. SO we took the opportunity to go inside and that turned out to be the best part of our trip. There Manas told that his name means Mind in English, so only instead of calling this trip as mind blowing I called it up as Manas blowing. There we stayed more than a hour, we found one rock there and everybody was trying jumping from the rock, but only me and DK were successful in jumping somersault. J Jai being sitting outside was not even spared a single spot of cloth not drenched. He might have regretted sitting outside, after getting water blast from everywhere it was as good as himself getting inside water and taking a dip.

Everybody got scared of, when Manas shared his yak thought about “Potty” flowing in water… Now everybody was cautious about walking in water. Manas came out of water earlier than anybody else, and only after that we found something weird stuff floating which everybody was calling Potty. J But I think Manas might have done that to prove himself right as he was the first one to come out of water.

When we all came out of water, everybody was comparing their skin before and after… but it was nothing do with Jai effect as there was very less chances of getting Tanned in clear water and that too not so hot in the river. Here special mention is tan effect as Jai Effect.

We started again and stopped our bus in between to have some fruit juices, there we had sugarcane juice and bought “Angucha” I don’t know whether I spelled it correctly, but it is the scarf to cover your face. It was again an idea by our Mind (please change Mind to Manas and Manas to mind wherever I have used thisJ)

We had a photo session after wearing that scarf and covering our face fully like terrorist.. There I remember Pallavi and DK inviting everybody for lunch and no mention of it when the journey was ended (Need not to mention that it was not an invitation but was a forceful acceptance of the idea which we were imposing on them to have lunch at their home J).

So here we had one more feather in our cap by successfully completing the trip. I wish that journey could never have stopped.

Guys, please don’t mind if I have written something wrong abt anybody. I have written just to make everyone realize that how important everybody’s contribution was in the trip.

I will be waiting for the next trip to be completed and hope will be writing soon a new experience and new happenings.

Cheers.
